bought this Titus as Caesar last week on eBay for just under $40 , reverse descriptions about Annona are conflicting. holding drapery, holding stalks of grain, under throne bag of grain, a cloth , resting her feet on a stool, bow of galley. just made up my own description (enlarge picture by clicking) *Please show your Annona denarii , thanks
IMHO, That's a great price for a very cool denarius of Titus Surprisingly, I seem to lack any of ANNONA---at least in my photo library
Nice coin and a great deal. The entry in RIC II for your coin says "Annona std. L with sack of corn ears".
Excellent coin at a very good price! FWIW, here is the BMCRE's description of the type: 'Annona, draped, seated l. on throne, adorned with corn-ears, feet on stool, holding on her lap a sack of corn-ears open, the ties, looped at one end, in her hands' Pretty much covers it.
