I live in N.C. and since this is east of the Mississippi, I have no problem getting rolls of uncirculated new release state quarters through my bank. The only problem is that banks over here are supplied from the Phila mint and I am unable to get unc rolls of Denver minted coins. Does anyone have a suggestion on how I could get "D" coins without paying the high prices of dealers on the net. Perhaps someone west of the Mississippi has the same problem and would like to set up a swap. Thanks, Larry Dunn
Rodney has an excellent suggestion as one way to get the D quarters. But you yourself already mentioned perhaps the best. For there are numerous others just like you who live in the West and cannot easily get the P coins. There are several web sites dedicated to this purpose - putting collectors from various parts of the country together for the purpose of swapping coins - in particular State Quarters. They are not so hard to find. But I will give you one suggestion - Coin World Forum
Many thanks to both of you. Rodney's input might solve the problem with a few coins and GDJMSP's response solves the entire problem. Glad I found this forum. Larry D
state quarters You are very fortunate to get uncirculated coins from your bank. I am in Illinois and our bank doesn't get uncirculated or at least that is what they tell me. We get all p's or all d's when we get the circulated ones. Discussion of specific trading, buying or selling is restricted to the Open Forum. US Mint Order from the mint. Buy them by the roll $32.00 per set. MS65 to MS 67. It's worth the extra few bucks. One item or many items, I believe the shipping cost is $4.00. BWJR
