According to ANA standards, strike is included in the grade, But it doesn't disqualify it from a MS grade.

When I said MS but lower I was talking about 62 when everyone was saying 63 64 65. Grading standards are too relaxed for me. They should be a little firmer.

I agree but this one definitely gets an MS grade.

I see the slab at 63 and my own opinion at 64. I like woodies too. :)

Due to lower quality strike, 60-61

I will reveal the grade this afternoon. Although a lot of you have the grade as I see it, It hasn't been fully declared yet.

Here it is, I do not agree with the grade, I don't think NGC, cares much for Woodies, there aren't nearly enough bag marks to warrant a grade less than 63. IMG_3553.JPG

Of the two TPG'S NGC in my eyes has always been tougher on nickels . Personally I would pay 64 money for that nickel, yes not much luster...but for the tone and strike I would again buy it in a NY second . Nice coin

This is the stupidest grade I think I've ever seen in my life. If this coin is MS, there's not one thing keeping it out of MS64. Do you know what their problem is? They see the AU58 wear. They've got the thing smack up against their face. They don't know how to grade. They don't know, when they want to call an AU58 MS, it's MS64.
