Found my 1970 Small Dateam but wondering...

Why is his cheeks look so high abd his ears look crazy. This isn't the ca camera you can see it will naked eye and I was wondering if this was normal? Having Abe esthetics issues today lol.

I see die deterioration on liberty and the date ,and quite a bit of "road rash" that has gouged the rim and seems to have altered the portrait a little. Copper alloy is comparatively very soft and gravel can push features around a little. Jim

What is wrong with it is that none of the damage you see was created by the Mint. It would be to your benefit if you tried to learn more about the minting process. Then, coins like this wouldn't take up so much of your time.
