    How did a string impart damage into the planchet? Through Washington's skull looks like a crack to me and the rest just looks like staining.

    String was in the grease and there's more string stamped in the hair too ...

    Interesting.... I will keep an eye out for that kind of grease stains. Looks slightly mis aligned

    Just make sure there's a piece of string, in the grease .
