Good news: The top note is a fairly rare national, less than 30 known on the bank. Solid $250-300 to the right collector I would think. Bad news: The bottom note is a fair condition CSA note that is very common. $25-40 maybe.
On the first note, yours is the bottom line Blue Seal Vernon McClung. On the second note (these are often counterfeited) see photo. I will say around $100 each plus or minus if they are real. Condition is a factor.
The last Heritage auction of a similar note to the 10.00 was a VF25 in 2014 that sold for 499.00. Quite frankly, the book the Michael K used is useless for pricing nationals.
Heritage is super high retail. And I doubt this OP note would grade VF 25. There are folds, discolorations, what look like Scotch tape marks, probably tears, etc. It's just a guide. When current auction prices are taken into account, the newer editions will have higher prices. That VF $235 will prob read: VF $350 (or whatever).
Always remember this, it,s only worth what someone else is willing to pay for It, book values are not accurate as they dont follow current trends in the market.
Interesting that the photo of the $10 in the book doesnt show 1902-1908 like stated in the description and neither does mine. The one sold by Heritage has the dates on the reverse. https://currency.ha.com/itm/nationa...-19857.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515
I spoke too soon. There is a Plain Back variety. https://currency.ha.com/itm/nationa...15876.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-0715158
