Yup! See @Orfew s post (#22) above. If that is not enough then please reference my Iron Man post (#27) above which I can only assume is what he wore on the red carpet...
I must live under a rock, as I honestly don't remember ever hearing that term before. So shoulder bag is out then. Ok. If it's good enough for Iron Man, it's good enough for me.
Thank you for that thoughtful reply dadams. Unfortunately too big and bulky -- no more hunting for me -- most importantly, my darling wife Beverly (she who must be obeyed) bought this spiffy man purse for me! You will not regret it dadams -- some of the best people I know collect them.
Thought you might like this @jamesicus. Here's a Constantius from London that you mailed to me a few years back: A couple of years ago I soaked it in some expired Verdicare I had, and it came out looking a lot better IMO.
@jamesicus and @dougsmit, you guys are officially too cool for school. Keep rocking those man purses/diaper bags! Mercury with his marsupium.
this is a great discussion. I like to carry an as of Domitian/Moneta andI got 2 man purses .. errr messenger bags... The UTG bag it pretty good and has a spot for my nalgene bottle.
Just know when to stop guys. Remember just because you feel something is Ok because it is humorous to you, may end badly. Stay within the rules. Jim
I agree with Chris, please be careful out there, I come from a long line of Police and FBI in my family, you did not mention if you carry or not, my family gets worried when I wear gold around my neck, be safe!
I agree, it is nice to share ancient coins, or just hold them. My favorite line is: "What is the oldest coin you have held?" I am surprised at times, but most people think 2000 year old coins belong in a museum. Most of the time I use a padded mail envelope. I can fit several coins in flips in one envelope. @jamesicus "I like to carry some of my "key coins"... to brag about or to just fondle and admire during reflective moments. " I do not have a set pattern for show coins or carriers. My half As collection is one of my favorites. It is hard to break or damage one of these. I like showing coins that tell the story of how Rome "found" women / brides for single guys shortly after founding the city. (Rome held a party, served a few drinks, grabbed some Sabine women, ran inside the city and bolted the gates.) The same moneyer showed Tarpeia to continue the story. (Vestil virgin Tarpeia opened the city gates for what was on the wrist of the Sabine men. She wanted their gold bracelets, but was buried and killed under the shields from their other wrists.) Octvian / Augustus showed Tarpeia also.
Guilty as charged. My deranged sense of humor gets me into more trouble than anything else. SMILEY FACES. MEAN SOMETHING.

My kind of guy. I have 1/3 of the points for Distinguished Master Pistol, but due to circumstances, never finished out. Really would have liked to get that 1 oz gold medal. Also have carried the P38 for about 50 years, but not the dog tags.
