Rev: GENIO POP ROM, Genius stg and facing, holding patera and cornucopia; PLN in exergue

@Pishpash, I am sorry about your headache. The link you gave shows numerous nice GENIO POPULI ROMANI coins. I especially like the Diocletian from Alexandria with an eagle at the feet of Genius issued when Domitius Domitianus had control of the mint.

Sorry for the thread necromancy, but just wanted to let you know that this is actually Galerius and not Maximianus. Because it is quite a heavy example I would guess it's a first reduction nummus with a 24mm beaded circle which would make it LMCC 5.01.002.

If the beaded circle is closer to 23mm, it would be second reduction and LMCC 5.03.001.

The first reduction only lasted from May until November 307 AD, and they were reduced again after that point, from 42 to 48 pieces to the Roman pound, although the actual adjustment and range of weights makes this rather wooly in practice.
