copper penny

    I found this copper coin . it's 100% copper .
    doesn't stick to magnet .
    But the coin is so scratched that makes me unsure if it's fake or real .
    Tell me your opinion.

    It's just a regular copper wheat penny that has been heavily damaged. It's worth one cent.

    Your Lincoln cent was the victim of a near fatal accident called "road rash".

    FYI - These coins were not struck in 100% copper. At best, it is only 95% copper.

    Why would you think it is fake..don't you know that coins can get damaged? Such as yours.
