    A nice tanner in sterling, ie .925 fine silver.

    BTW they were not demonetized until 1980 whence up unto that time they were circulating as a 2.5 new pence coin.

    Perhaps no demonetized, but I bet they all disappeared from circulation long before that due to their silver content. UK stopped using silver long before US.
