I thought it was your coin. Your later posts revealed that is a coin you are thinking about buying to try and flip for a profit and had not purchased yet. I'm more then happy to try and help collectors out, but if I am going to do the work for someone when it comes to cherry picking I certainly will not be doing that for free.
I see graffiti on the reverse. That is a deal breaker IMO. She could have bought it and was just using the seller's pictures. I do that all of the time. But I usually know if the price I paid is good or not, so that is not something I would normally ask.
I think the previous post by a couple of well known members, are a little sad, any info that we have that could help @Emilyrc should be a given, atleast one of you gives help and comments to other members that you relate to. Why not Emily @baseball21? Now we are charging to help the community?
If the communities objective of the thread is to find out whether it would be a good cherry pick buy to flip absolutely. If it was just someone asking about a coin they own then no. @Pickin and Grinin
Hi Emily, I checked Coin Facts, a PCGS service. The survival estimate on the 1840-O N/D is only 300 coins in all grades. They have $300 listed @VF35 and $500 @XF40. It's hard to grade by photos but shown below is an example of a VF35 from Coin Facts for you to compare yours to. Chief
@Cheech9712 had I know it was someone trying to get others to do the work for them to make money I would have ignored the thread. @Pickin and Grinin not really on that on. But if I'm going to do all the work yes it might as well be for my own pick. I have nothing against people asking for help for their collection. If they want to be a cherry picker though then they should be able to do the work themselves, they aren't going to do very well relying on forum threads for every decision
