I have this listed as RIC I 33, if that is not correct I hope someone will let me know. I also hope you'll show you Tiberius bronze.
Nice one Aethelred of a more scarce type of Tiberius, especially with head looking right. I have one RIC 34 head left.
Cool addition @Aethelred This is as close as I can get, and my only Tiberius at present. My birthday is coming up I'd be happy to take any of those bronzes
Your attribution looks correct. AUGUSTUS AE As OBVERSE: DIVVS AVGV-STVS PATER, radiate head left, star above, thunderbolt to left REVERSE: S-C, Female (Livia?) seated right, holding patera and sceptre. Rome 15-16 AD RIC I (Tiberius) 71 AUGUSTUS AE As OBVERSE: DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER, radiate head left REVERSE: S-C either side of large altar, PROVIDENT in ex. Rome 22-30 AD 10.5g, 28mm RIC I (Tiberius) 81
RIC Vol. I, TIBERIUS, As, Rome, No. 44 TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVST IMP VIII PONTIF MAXIM TRIBVN POTEST XXIIII
I'll pile on with a cool but worn example of Tiberius and Livia, AE-25....and a nice terastyle temple (Pergamon); Livia looks like the 'wicked witch of the west LOL:
Thanks! I chose it for the portrait especially... seems more human and realistic than the usual. I would call the patina a dark chocolate brown, with some lighter brown in the highlights. (Does that answer your question?)
