Hey Everyone, It's a very hot Sunday afternoon, so I'm enjoying the cool indoors by taking pictures of my new coins. These were the ones featured in the group shot I posted last week. However, neither the group shot or these individual photos do the coins any justice. There are some coins here that I never thought would be part of my collection and I think they take me to the next level in collecting. Once again, I want to give a huge shout out to Brian and Deacon Ray for their incredible generosity. They have blown my mind! Anastasius Monogram: Aeolis, Neonteichos: Zeno Monogram: Claudius II Alexandria Tet: Byzantine Anonymous Follis (Jesus - King of Kings)
Magnentius A3: Porcius Festus: Valerius Gratus: Pontius Pilate: Herod the Great 8 Prutot: Happy Sunday All!! Erin
That is cool Erin congrats. I'm still looking for a Harod and a Pilate seems like everytime I see one in an auction there's someone willing to pay more than me. They're not at the top of my list.
Thanks everybody! I'm totally stoked about these coins and researching them. My brother is really impressed with them too. Pish, I don't know much about the Zeno monogram, but I'm going to be reading up about it. I think it's a pretty cool coin, and tiny too! I thought that I would never be able to add a Herod 8 Prutot to my collection. I'm going to have a lot of fun with them. Erin
A bunch of super nice coins! I've been trying to nab a Zeno for ages. (Thought I had one a while ago, but it turns out the bid I thought was mine wasn't!)
Kudos to all who were so generous to you Erin and, obviously, all those super coins have found the right home!!!
