just got a call from my grandpa

he told me he found an old box of coins from when he was a kid, mainly cents, and nickels. He said "them nickels had real old dates on 'um, one of um was a 1912, the others were 1905 and i dont know, ill send them to u, them look nice and old." he also said there were atleast 20 wheats. He's going to ship them tommarrow, i'll let you know if I find anything. hopefully one of the coins will be a 1912 s ms60. Haha, i can always dream

Have your Grandpa tell you stories from when he was a kid, spending those types of coins.

hey, even if you don't get a rare one, its always nice to get coins!!!

 

Don't know if it's too late, but make sure you advise him on packaging, insurance vs. registered, etc...

And above all, do something to reimburse him for the shipping costs (or just to say thank you in general).

True. My Grandma gave me a bunch of coins years ago. I'll always have those coins. I may buy and sell others through the years, but the ones she gave me are priceless in their own special way. Enjoy them.
