Help with 1983 D Mint Mark

    Any idea? The edges are beveled like a mint mark. The quarter is not in great shape (although the reverse side is actually pretty clean) but curious if anyone knows what this is. Thanks in advance.

    Title says 1983. Photo title says 1982. Photo, is 1987.
    I don't see anything unusual with the mint mark.

    I think the mark that you are questioning is a reeded edge. But unfortunately it is damage.
