25C - Strange Looking Quarter!

    Hi all,
    Flea Market purchase 6-10-2017
    Picked up this strange looking Quarter today.
    Doesn't it look weird to you? o_O

    Gee, it does . . . I can't seem to figure out what looks wrong, but the whole thing just gives me the willies. :D

    Actually Paddy, I had a very deceptive fake of a clad WQ about 15 years ago. I think it was a 1979, but I'm not positive. Anyway, I sold it to a collector of counterfeits.

    I apologize... Just kidding around.
    I got this for free for purchasing the 1972 Bahamas silver :rolleyes:
    Some kind of decorative piece.

    I had an 1877 Indian cent like that, once, in addition to a Lincoln cent and Washington quarter. Like 4" diameter. I've heard them called drink coasters, but have my doubts about how practical they'd be in that function.

    There were a bunch of different kinds. These were mostly made in the late 1970s, I think. I had some in the early 1980s when my youngest sister was a preschooler. I used them for magic tricks. Made her penny get huge- stuff like that. Blew her mind when she was like five years old. :)

    they are 3 inch coasters. I have a whole set of them. almost every U.S. modern coin.
