If there were a Wikipedia entry under "Really Not Bellman's Sort of Thing", these would be pictured there. I am looking for someone with the modern Hobo Nickels people in Florida to take a 2017 Kennedy half (clad) and turn it into some original carving art, fully utilizing the inner copper layer for a two-tone look. All I want retained untouched is the 2017 date. The rest is an open canvas.

What a great time to be alive, huh? Who knew that the concept of free thought would go from a welcomed plus to a despised negative within no more than a generation or two.

 

Na, it was an insult. Another reminder that this thread came about as a place where people (fans) could discuss their Daniel Carr purchases without the intervention of haters and their negative posts.

 

Even if not as you intended, the image is, indeed, quite fitting.

You like them; congrats on the newps and I'm sure they're very nice, but just because the other gentleman said they're not his "thing", this doesn't mean he's insulting you, but is only an example of different tastes.

 

Funny thing is... Bellman is a proponent of DC's work.

 

No insult intended, Chief. I just don't care for any of that sort of imagery. I'm not into any of that "dark" imagery material, that's all. It's also why I'll never own a Zom-anything, and why Walking Dead lasts about 2 seconds on the TV when it comes on. I do like a subset of Dan's work, but this stuff isn't part of it.

 

Thanks. Those are precisely the people I want to commission to do my Kennedy half carving. I ran into them at Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale earlier this year. Problem is: I don't and won't ever be on or have a Facebook account. I know far too much about what goes on in Zuck's world to ever touch Facebook.

 

There's an insult lurking, surely enough, but it's not related to the coins. It is related to falsely seeing an insult where there was none, but it pretty much writes itself, doesn't it now?

 

It's not the first you've seen yourself falsely accused of an insult. Tip of the day - there's a smiley face on the task bar, if you click on it there's an array of smiley face emojis that can be used to convey the intent of what you are typing. see there's one now...

 

Unfortunately, there are some that don't understand the intent, even when a smiley face is applied.

 

True, some people are programmed to expect an insult from me because I am not immune from the impulse and view the late Don Rickles as a near-god.
