Hi all.. I've reading from this site for the past week and impressed with the knowledge and friendliness. I only been collecting a very short while and mostly british whilst using coincrafts 1998 catalogue to ID. Last week I brought a joblot of indian coins and was able to id'ed most of the 19th century indian british coins, but now I have come unstuck.
Any help would be appreciated and thankyou in advance..

In the second set of photos, the coin on bottom left is from Ceylon (Sri Lanka). I think it is from King Parakrama Bahu II (1236-1271). Incidentally, you have the coin on its side, it should look like this (but with a different inscription):
    Sri Lanka.jpg
Obverse shows a dancing person and an inscription, reverse shows the king standing and wearing loose-fitting silk trousers (which make it look like extra legs, hence this series is sometimes nicknamed "octopus-man" coins).

Fantastic parthicus. It does appear to be from the king Parakrame Bahu II period. Thank you..

I'm quite surprised to find those later coins are not as desirable as the british indian ones..

I'm taking a guess you cannot see the photos. Someone else mentioned it as well.

    I hope this helps.

I also could only see the coins through the work-around by pressing reply first.
The one on the top left in your top photos is a Jital issued under the rule of Ala-ud-Din Khwarezmshah (ca 1200-1220AD).
The "Octopus man" coin is not from Sri Lanka, but from mainland Southern India. Issued in the name of Raja Raja Chola.

directly Up load your photos instead of using a storage site.
