Nice find on the Warnick. Been a few years since I've found one. I used to be quite lucky with them.

Yeah this is the first one I found in a year haha. I'm also noticing how hard it is to find anything with an S mint mark on a dime or quarter. Can find lots of pennies and nickels with them. But i can't find a quarter or dime with one for the life of me. I am not even sure if i have seen one haha

Your cent shown appears to be a 1968D.

That's probably because the later S-mint stuff has usually been proofs, I'm guessing.

Woohooooo found two more 1972 Eisenhower type 3 one dollar coins. Finally got a Denver in 1972. Then I got a Denver mint 1974 dollar coin. That makes 6 dollars I have all together. I am pretty sure all the ones I have are type 3. Maybe one might be type one, looks very different from the rest of em ( the possible type one) IMG_1042.JPG IMG_1048.JPG the photo above is 1974 d

Below is the possible type one if you want to see. If you see what I see, every type three I has a flat part on the edge of the world on the opposite side of the eagles head, while the picture below shows that the world is perfectly round. IMG_1061.JPG

I really like the war nickels.
The 1960-D to me is a spender, and unless the 1940 is XF or better, it's also a spender. A nickel that has a numismatic value of ( a dime?) is never going to be sold and is only worth face value to me.

That's because dimes and quarters from San Francisco were only minted for proof sets for those years. The only business struck coins from San Francisco between those years were the nickel and the cent. The nickel was only made in 1968, 1969 and 1970 and the cent was produced between 1968 to 1974.

1970-S nickels also. Circulation, business strikes.

Hey guys. Haha I realize that the old nickels aren't worth much of anything and are hard to sell. But I still like them and still keep them. Maybe one day when time goes by they might be worth a little more. If anything I can still spend them sonits no big deal that I keep em. Maybe I can sell them all together. I also keep every thing with an S mint mark. But the end result I love older coins.
