Hi everyone, The Mr Rogers' Neighbourhood marathon has now complete, so it's back to business! You know, if the world was full of people like all of you, it would be a much different and much better place. I'm overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone on this forum. Over the past couple of weeks, I've been blessed by some unexpected, very generous gifts. I wish, very much, that I could repay everyone here. Unfortunately, I don't think I ever can. The best I can do is offer my deepest gratitude and wish the best for all of you. I don't mean to go on and on. But, I really am moved by everyone's gestures. Who am I to deserve them? Thank you everyone. God Bless, Erin
Oh! Good idea! I should do the same thing - take a shot of all the goodies I received for just ....being and being here! But some goodies are still in transit, so I'll wait a bit more to do it.
There is no forum community to which I've belonged that was more generous and more friendly than this one. Maybe that's why I've never lasted more than 1,200 posts, or a year, in any other forum I've ever been part of before getting bored or tired. However, this place feels different, almost like a social club full of people you want to have a beer with and talk about your hobbies nonstop.
are you a trekkie too Erin?.. i've just bought a couple of vintage items of tos in the last couple of days.. i am a tos freak
I am a huge trekkie! I like TNG the best. I had a bit of a hard time with TOS. I think it's because it was before my time. I'll give it another run through at some point and hopefully can get more into it. I'm currently making my way through DS9 for the first time and am enjoying it. I need to get some more trek stuff. I'm kind of interested in the Funko Pops. They now have South Park pops that are, for me, an absolute necessity! I'll bring the chocolate milk and cookies! Erin
I used to get bunches of them in Hong Kong and carry them back with me from the 80s onward. Smoked them, gifted them, etc. Then, as the embargo eased, I dont smoke'em anymore.
Ditto on being a TOS fan. Loved watching them as they were released. Friday nites, homemade pizza, 1-2 Cokes (big treat), and Star Trek! THEN we landed on the Moon 20-July-1969! Way cool!
a cool and interesting "gift pack" of coins! an alexandrian tet, several sweet judeans (a very weak spot in my collection...i have 2 total), looks like magnentius, a little monogram (who is that? zeno?). great assortment!
Super-fine injection to the Collection, Ms. Erin-Girl! I am glad you are here! Some of your posts have hilarious humor from you! Keeps everything real here! I constantly crack up about your Avatar...
we didn't have cable in our little town back then and my buddy who lived on the hill could get WPSD Paducah, but only very fuzzy. we could almost see it. but in 71 we moved to a big town which had cable
Thanks everybody! I want to give credit where it is due. The wonderful gifters of these coins are Deacon Ray and Brian Bucklan. Thanks to them, my collection is beyond what I could have imagined it to be! I get my humour from my mom. My dad's humour is hilariously innocent. These are two Funko Pops that I am going to have to get at some point. They're just vinyl figures of TV and movie characters. Erin
