I already have a couple of these Sicilian horsehead coins, but this one has a palmtree in the far distance background, I like it very much, and it was a bargain at 15 euros.
Can't beat that price-----A cool bronze of historical significance dating prior to the 1st Carthaginian War and about 2,300 years old to boot....and for only about $20.00 A couple of my examples circa 1st and 2nd Punic War era:
I don't remember ever seeing a palm tree in the distance at the bottom of a coin from Carthage...very cool! Here's my Sicilian AE unit with palm tree, from circa 400-350 BC.
Nice addition Here's my only example of a Carthage coin (no I didn't buy it from AtoZ dealers ) Siculo-Punic, AE16 2 64-241 BC Head of Tanit left Horse right and palm tree 1.75 gr, 16 mm Ref : SNG Cop. 111 Q
Nice coin Andres. I really need to add some more Carthage to my collection. Thus far my only is still my flying horse with date palm.
