my dad has been saving change for 2 years now and today i helped him sort through and roll it. he knows to save wheaties, pre 1960, and silver. well, i was just looking for the ones i don't see to often. so i picked out a 1968D, a 1969, 1969D, and 2 1970 quarters. i also was going to save a 1969 dime, and one that was very deeply struck into the metal that looked different. those got rolled up by accident though. not much, but still neat. when we got done rolling up the coins, he forgot he had been saving copper cents in his closet for the past few years. he was digging them out of the closet, and he found a 1948 quarter on the floor! he gave it to me. i searched the cents, and heres what i got- a 1942S cent, 4 1959, 14 1959D, 1 1960, 17 1960D, 2 1961, 3 1962, 5 1963, 17 1965, 2 1968S, 6 1969, 2 1969S, 1970S, and a purple toned 1980D. in all, it was a good afternoon we spend together talking about coins. all together we rolled $159.50 in coins he's taking to the bank monday.
