1982 pennys

    Hey guys can I get somebody to straighten me out on the weight of the 82 Lincoln pennies I'm a little confused from my understanding there's two weights on those pennys or is there three

    US Lincoln cents were minted both copper and copper-plated zinc (reduction in costs).

    Copper weight 3.11g - same as it has back to the Indian Head Cent days (1864)
    Copper plated zinc weighs 2.5g

    The tolerance is (from memory, check your red book) +/- 0.11g

    Well that's what I thought 3.11 and 2.5 but I have one here that keeps weighing out at 3.05

    That's within tolerance.
