This is the thread to help members decide which dupe to keep and which dupe to sell. I'll kick it off:

Which one should I keep for my toned registry set (1950-64 proof roosevelts), and which one to sell? Both are PR67. I purchased the top coin raw. I cracked the bottom coin out of an NGC PF68 holder. I am leaning towards keeping the bottom coin because I like the blue.

Easy for me, blue one, the other is in better condition though.

I used to have an NGC Registry Signature set called the Roosevelt Blues, guess you know which one I'm picking.

You should add a poll to the thread!

I personally like coins with more even toning. The blue is cool but I think I'd keep the top. Okay, I'd keep the bottom too :-D

On my computer, the blue one looks much more uniform than on my phone. I would really have a hard time deciding, but blue tones are less common (as far as I have seen) so I'd be tempted to keep that one. I've changed my mind :p

I like both Roosies in the OP but slightly prefer the first one with the warm colors. The bluish one is sweet but has some tiny toning breaks- the "snowflakes" in front of FDR's eyes and behind his head. Also, the target toning arcs around the periphery of the reverse on the first coin are very nice.

So they're both awesome for Roosies (admittedly not a series that usually interests me). Give the Blue its due, but I lean oh-so slightly towards the first (other) one, personally.

Then again, your own stated preference for the blue coin and the subsequent agreement by several others probably gives the "right" answer.

FDR looks proud in the top one but pissed off in the bottom one...I like the top one better but both are obviously Nice Coins!

To be perfectly honest both are extremely nice, and as a person who loves blues and greens this is a tough choice . However the top one to my eye has better contrast of color.....that said door #1. But both are great specimens .

Thanks all. I think I am going to keep 2 and sell 1 if I get a decent price. Another factor in my decision is that I have a number of rainbow proofs inn my set that are nicer than 1, but I don't have any neon blue toners.

Were it not for the two corrosion artifacts behind the ear, I would be all in favor of keeping the first one. To me, though, those are disqualifiers and I'm keeping the blue coin as a result by default.
