I'm in the West. Midwest that is and I believe that's pretty much how it works. In my neck of the woods we get both. I used to trade Kennedy halves with a guy out east roll for roll and I was always sending D mint.
I have same problem! I can not remember last time I got any D coins from the bank. But being only 15 miles from Phila. fed reserve it makes sence
I'm in CA and get almost all D coins. Except for nickels.....for some reason it's about 50/50 on Jeffersons. Guy~
All P'd in FLorida, but we get the new D coins very very fast due to the number of tourists from out west
I find that I tend to get a pretty decent mix here in Georgia. roughly 60/40 p/d respectively. That's on uncirculated cents from the bank, naturally. Pocket change is a bit more diverse. Jasn
Just a reminder here before it happens... Ya'll are walking a thin line here---no offers to trade can be posted here. Use the OPEN forum for such things. Again---this is just a reminder before it happens..... Speedy
Read it again---it says BEFORE it happens. Most of the time when a thread like this pop's up it turns into a thread with offers to trade coins from one mint to the other one. Since forum rules don't allow that we have to edit the post. I thought it would be best and save some time if I posted a warning just to remind anyone of the rules that didn't know them. Speedy
Youch, that a bit harsh there Speedy. God forbid I offer to trade a 2007 cent for a 2007 cent! I'm just kidding, rules are rules.
There's also a Sticky: thread (second one listed on the US Coins Forum) entitled: Buddy System - Mint Mark Trading Partners This will direct you to the Open forum to let people know you're interested. I did this a few months ago and was able to find someone in D-mint territory to swap rolls of presidential dollars. It has worked out very well.
