I opened a plastic tube of cents I labelled "S mints - all dates" sometime back in the 1960's and left untouched all these years.

    I found this coin.

Alas, it is attracted to a magnet, so it's fake.
    So close!

That's the fun of being here.

Anyone have any idea what it's worth (as a high-grade fake, I mean?

A local coin dealer told me that many years ago the local Police Athletic League (of all people) had a bunch of 1943 Lincolns copper plated and threw them to the crowd during their parade.

BTW they are listed on eBay for up to $40 for acknowledged fakes.

Copper copies sell for a bit less.[/quote]

If you excuse me I'm going to go quit my job.
