Your opinion about Jovian follis patina

    I buy two follises of Jovianus from two different dealers, but patina on the right coin looks unnatural to me. What you think?

    I see nothing wrong. The patina on the right hand coin looks natural to me.

    Smooth, bottle-green patinas are common, particularly among coins from Balkan hoards.

    Both patinas look fine to me. There is a lot of variation in how the patinas look after 1,600 years.

    @gogili1977 Personally, I think the patinas look fine in both examples. I have some extreme green patinas that have no problem, such as my Uncia and Semis:
