nice looking coin DR! i only have a few of this guy, and this thing is my best looking one...it's a pretty nice coin but the patchy silvering may actually make it look worse. i kind of purchased it for that feature however.
Nice one, gogili1977, and thanks! I really like the dark bronze almost black patina on yours and many of the later Roman coins!
Thanks, Smojo! I'm really developing a love for these late Roman bronzes! If it were not for the kindness of one of our mutual friends—inviting me to participate in the auctions—I never would have branched out.
Ditto When I first started collecting ancients I thought my focus to be Greek and Roman Republic. That didn't last long and now I'm almost all over the place.
Great capture @Deacon Ray ! Graphics are great, and a nicely detailed center-struck coin! My Aurelians:
D-Ray => sweet looking OP-addition, my coin-friend (congrats) Hey, I have one of those long-necked Aurelian examples (wanna see it?)
Awesome coin, Steve! Thanks for posting. My dear ol' Southern Grandma' use to say “Her neck's so long she'll never die” when she was talking about my Aunt Clara (her daughter in law). LOL
