It would cost more than the coin is worth to get it graded. Buy an 'airtight' slab and keep the Standing Lady safe. Besides, you'll be able to hold her anytime you want. Welcome to the forum......

Nice coin but kind of looks like it was dipped in a vinegar bath.

Please do not take my comment the wrong way though. I don't want you too think I was disrespecting your new purchase. I've seen these kind of surfaces on quarters and nickels before. A sand blasted effect which means they were cleaned at some point, usually vinegar does this after too long a soak.

Still an attractive coin. Let it sit in the air a few months and then put it in a snap holder and enjoy it.

The 1930 was widely saved since it was the last year of the series. As a rule they should be more affordable than the other Standing Liberty quarters.

This photo is taken out of the holder so the plastic can't interfere by showing its own scratches or reflections.

Notice that the surface is more smooth than your example. This one is less worn, so you can see how it should give a bit of radiance that moves as you tilt the coin. (Tap it to expand to full size.)

If you go to a dealer who has a good selection of these to compare, pick them up and tilt them around in the light to see how they look.

Remember to enjoy your quarter. I would rather have one for $10 than not have one at all.

I am just a bit suspicious that this might be nicer than ANACS says it is. I'm enjoying the coin, and allowing myself to think it's better than the holder. (Who doesn't, from time to time.)

I plan to write a thread on animation in a day or two, also.
