    Hey y'all!
My boyfriend and I go metal detecting almost every weekend, and these are my best finds from yesterday:
A standing Liberty quarter. Unfortunately the date is worn off. Could be any year between 1916-1930.
And dozens of wheat pennies that look as if they're melted together. Found several of them like the one pictured. First time finding anything like this. What do y'all think?

The SL quarter would make many TH'ers day! I've found lots of cents, earliest 1917 and quite a bit of modern but nothing silver yet.

I know this doesn't help much but that's a type II standing liberty quarter so it can't be 1916.

Those cents look like they were in a fire for sure.

Nice find indeed on the SLQ! It looks like you might almost be able to make out the date...

What type of metal detectors do you use? I have a Minelab CTX 3030

Nice! I use a Fisher F4. My boyfriend uses a garrett at pro, which I believe is better and easier to use than my fisher.

As pointed out by yankee42, it is a type II standing liberty quarter (Thanks! :) )

You'll get your silver one day. Just keep at it! What kind of metal detector do you use?

I'm gonna try looking at it under a magnifying glass but it isn't looking too hopeful. The part where the date should be is pretty slick :/

Try shining a bright light across the surface at a low angle. That will highlight any relief that's left. It may just be flat at this point, though.

Yeah, I would if I made time to use it.

The Qt doesn't appear, to be the 1916. If it had been, it would have been a great find. I also metal detect and have found much. I use an old MD a Garrett Ground Hog that I got in 1975. I have also an newer one, but it not as good as the old one.
