I have never seen anything lke this do you think it was done at the mint. could it be a filled die? any help would be welcome
I have searched thousands of wheats, and I have noticed that some 1941s have a slight tilt to the second one. i have set a few aside. This, however, seems to be tilted more than most. Be aware that there are some 1941s with a slightly tilted one.
Since all of the working dies come from the same master hub, either all of the coins would have a tilted 1 or none of them do.
I don't know if it was a die or a die process, but I have about 7 1941 cents with a slightly tilted second one, a friend who also looks for them has several also. These are tilted about 5 degrees.
