1944 penny

    I have a 1944 penny with "S" under the year and it doesn't stick to a magnet! Any information would be appreciated!

    As in your other post, you have a normal cent minted in San Francisco.

    Also question about a 1943 penny...it sticks to a magnet? Normal penny?

    Yes.

    1943 were made of steel and therefore magnetic.

    1944 were not.

    If in average circulated condition it is worth a few cents.
