    Three interesting pieces arrived today.

    The top piece is a triangular bar, 26.4 grams & 33 X 12 mm.
The middle piece is a Roman Scale weight, 56.9 grams & 38 mm.
The bottom piece is a hollow seed shape, 8.4 grams & 25 X 16 mm.

I took a pic of the new items and other similar pieces -

The colors in the lower pic are closer to correct. I consider the bottom row to be scale weights, or something similar. The triangular bars were probably bullion and the others could have been either artistic pieces or bullion.

Bottom left in the first pic looks like what I'd have assumed to be a sling bullet, though I know little of such things.

Fascinating bunch in the second pic. The top left item is intriguing. The zigzag edges almost remind me of one of those modern 2-piece "mizpah" pendants, though I know that's not what it is.

I would love to own some of the earliest pieces of Roman "money." Thanks for sharing these!

    Gorgeous pieces Gene! Really nice.

I will toss in my Aes Formatum Ax piece... It is around their Sextans denomination in size:
