Well I'll throw one out. A crusty old copper from the Dutch colony of the East Indies (Indonesia today.) The East Indies, with it's tropical climate, were a valuable part of the Dutch empire from the early 1800's until the Japanese occupied it in World War 2. The reverse has the value in Javanese and Malayan text.
Hoping more people will join in with their colonial and post colonial coins, here is one of my Fugios. Fugio Cent, Newman variety 15-H. Produced on contract, they are the first widely circulated coin of the Federal Government''.
I've got some, but too computer illiterate to post pictures. Been collecting colonials for many years, slowly accumulating so I don't have a ton. A couple pieces of Mass. silver, Rosa Americanas, State coppers, Fugios etc. In my opinion the most interesting area of numismatics.
I have my fair share of Massachusetts and Connecticut coppers, but my dream is for a huge hoard of them to be unearthed so the price goes down because even though I collect most coins for their rarity, I wouldn't care if it was more common than a zincoln because I fell in love with the idea of the first government approved Cent.
