    Hi, I think that those look stained as opposed to laminations.

    Could be a stain . they look peeled like it would look like if you peeled a chunk of paint off a wall its hard to tell from my crappy camera

    Stain and plating issues with the zinc is my bet possibly a chemical reaction to whatever it was on them to make it worse than normal bubbling. Not a lamination error

    What you see on the surfaces of both coins
    occurred after they were in circulation.

    They're not copper plating bubbles - but some
    chemical or liquid was on the surface of the coins,
    giving the 'effect' you see.
