Uh, was I just redundant? Yea, I really was. The attendant attending! Oops! I never said I was articulate!

Elagabalus, circa 220 AD, Nicopolis, Black. Macedon, Caligula and Antonia, 37-41 AD, Black. Thrace, Septimius Severus circa 200 AD, Black. Faustina circa 141 AD, sestertius black. Galba 69 AD, black. Domitian, restoration of Claudius Black (doesn't do well in coin tournaments though)
Very nice coins. I really like the Roman Republic, the Pompeians for it's toning, and unusual subject matter. When I find a coin that has good non-portrait subject matter that I find interesting on both sides, and either white/clean, or shiny black surfaces, in my price range, and well centered, I'll be happy to be it's caretaker for awhile. I have seen plenty of jaw dropping coins on this site that fit that description. The question is, can my wallet afford it when I do find the one, or will I have to settle for a more affordable one. Again I'm looking for a centerpiece for my budding collection. I will take a picture of the ones I have later, and you'll see that I'm not only just starting a collection, but am surely in need of at least one with great eye appeal. Don't get me wrong, any coin 2000 years old, or more is a marvel, with great history, regardless of condition. Thanks for all the nice pics, and input. John.
