Truly sad. Another reason I'm steering away from many graded coins altogether. Unless it's really spectacular.
That's not even pre-ebay training grounds - that is just nuts. And the coin isn't graded by a TPG tjenkins. It's in a plastic coin holder you can buy for about $2 and put the coin in it yourself.

Yep, this one's outrageous, all right. But one bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch. And this coin isn't even graded. Even if it was, ridiculous claims by individuals is an argument FOR TPGs.
I would have offered the full amount he discribed but I stopped when I saw the $11 shipping fees. Now if he had a few hundred of those fantastic coins???????????
