English coin weight for Portuguese gold escudo. I'm running short on wild cards in my photographed archive (yikes).

Next: England, GB, Portugal or 1746

VERY cool! Never seen one of those!

Here's a British King George III halfpenny- the original date is gone, but another was hand-engraved when it was made into a love token.

So that's Great Britain or 1773 or any love token with a date, to the next player.

This one has a pretty interesting backstory. I discovered Sam Jessop was actually rather (in-)famous. Here's my full thread about this piece.

Does that article refer to litigation regarding county ass sizes? I'm guessing they mean donkeys. But still rather an odd thing

    Britain, 1775 non-regal halfpenny with thistle/spade counterstamp.

Great Britain: WW1 Royal Flying Corps identity badge made from 1916 halfcrown.

I call this one "The Sailmaker's Badge", as 2nd Air Mechanic Arthur Perry was a sailmaker. (Sails on military ships had mostly gone by then, but the trade carried over to the early wood-and-fabric aircraft).

So that's Great Britain or 1916 or again, any dated love token/engraved/counterstamped piece, to the next player.

Merchant counterstamp on Mexican 8 reales, date obliterated. I'm tapped out for now until I photo some more interesting stuff :)

Mexico, counterstamp, merchant token, or obliterated date (can I get away with that?) next

Sweet counterstamp. Technically a foul since there's no date to play from, but that's OK. I can play from Mexico with my most recent "Box of 20" addition.

So that's 1761 or Mexico, next.

Not the most interesting coin, but as a stand in for bullion it's pretty good looking. Don't own it anymore, made a great (for me) trade.

So, still Mexico, but 1959 this time.

    Canada or 1913, next.

Was gonna post another Vicky from the 1901 set but I decided to switch things up and go with a detector find. Digging up Canadian large cents in the Deep South is surprising, but it's happened to me three times so far. This was the first, early in my digging days.

(Sadly, I accidentally gouged this one with my dig knife while recovering it. Modern electronic pinpointers help cut down on these sort of accidents nowadays.)

Did someone say 1913? US: 1913 Buffalo nickel, Philadelphia mint, Type 1 reverse (Buffalo standing on a mound). Next: Any US or any 1913.
