Hey, can you dudes please put down what you're doing and post a few of your cool Geta examples? thanks If not, then maybe later, eh?
Okay dawgs ... I'll go first => man, I can't Geta break, eh? => here is another one of my sweet Getaways ...
Hey gang ... apparently my wife is saying that I need to go start the BBQ, so I'll hopefully talk to you dudes later (oh, and there is a playoff game on tonight!!) => Man, I love this time of year!! (playoff city!!)
You've seen them before. Laodicea Pietas Laodicea Minerva Rome as Caesar Sacrificial Implements Rome quadriga (a scarce one) One of the last of the Caesars with some beard This as is my most rare Geta. There is dispute whether the reverse shows Septimius and two sons or Geta and two knights. I go for the second. The medallic flan suggests the coin was a presentation piece for Geta's assumption of the Consulship in 205 AD.
I absolutely love that OP Geta---both actually.....so super sweet!!! Congrats Steve...and enjoy your BBQ!! Needless to say...Great posts Doug!
Another winner! That coin is just about perfect. I really like how the toning looks. Beardy, grown-up Geta...
