    I fell in love with this coin as soon as I gazed upon it ... yummy-yummy!!

    Cute lil' ruler ... awwww, he's so cute (what could go wrong?)

    Yah, this coin caught my eye and I decided to snag it ... I hope that you like it

    Geta. As Caesar, AR Denarius
    Rome mint
    AD 198-209
    Struck under Septimius Severus, AD 200-205
    Diameter: 18 mm
    Weight: 3.55 grams
    Obverse: Bareheaded, draped, and cuirassed bust right
    Reverse: Victory flying left, holding open wreath; to left, round shield set on base
    Reference: RIC IV 23; RSC 206
    Other: 12h … gorgeous toning

    This as is my most rare Geta. There is dispute whether the reverse shows Septimius and two sons or Geta and two knights. I go for the second. The medallic flan suggests the coin was a presentation piece for Geta's assumption of the Consulship in 205 AD.
