    Ugh, these damn figdeters are over-running everything. I'm a professor, and giving a lecture I look up and a third of my class is spinning the damn things. Drives me crazy.

    I understand, however, the theory of adult education lends scientific credence to these. If your hands are active, for some people it helps to engage their brains.
