Hi @Kentucky! I have mostly US cents and mostly wheats. I am currently beefing up my collection of world coins. I would like to have at least one coin from each country. Perhaps some element or theme will help unify that world collection. Since about 1992 I have been 'keeping' (as opposed to seriously collecting) world coins and older date US cents, nickels and quarters. I was an avid vintage world fabric collector but I don't have room for more fabric. Besides, vintage fabrics need to be unfolded, inspected, and then refolded in a different way on a regular basis to preserve it. I hope to sell some vintage fabrics to pay for ancient coins.

Looking forward to seein' what you got!

I do not recall what my first ancient was.

That was so long ago, I must have gotten it from circulation. ;)

    This is my most recent.

Speaking of not honking one's horn before the coin is in hand, I jinxed myself by gushing prematurely about this one. The money on it was supposed to be coming from the sale of another coin, but that deal fell through, so I'm now without the cash to complete the deal on this one (whoopsie). Atlas Numismatics has been gracious enough to put it on layaway instead, so it WILL be mine soon enough, but now I've gotta sell some more stuff first.

I admire you! Caring for vintage fabric requires extreme vigilance. I used to (I sold my collection years ago) collect militaria of the First World War. I had lots of French Army regimental collar tabs and insignia. Most of it was made of wool. Need I continue?

Nearly 6 pages and @LaCointessa has yet to show us any pictures of her coins or give us a hint about what she is waiting for in the mail, and we've discussed a dozen unrelated topics.

I say it's time to tease us with seller's pics, or at least give us a hint about what coins you bought.
