Thank you guys. I think it turned out better than I expected with all that lovely mix of bronze and silver. Last year's pile would have been all silver, which while nice to own, probably would not have photographed as well as a mixed pile.
Absolutely, I'm done actively pursuing coins for the year. But that doesn't mean I won't be buying any other coins. If one happens to catch my eyes as I'm browsing through vcoins or looking at auction catalogs for research and fun, and I have the cash, it's coming home with me. Translation: Yeah, probably a dozen or so more coins, them I'm really done (maybe).
I'll have you know I have incredible will power. Last year when I said "I'm done buying coins for the year," I kept my word (for 3 or 4 days.) And when I accidentally bought a few more and said..."That's it, I'm really done now," I did just that (for a week.) And when I became the laughing stock of this forum and @Bing, @stevex6 , and others started to take bets on when I would buy another coin, I resolved to prove them wrong and not buy any more coins. And I succeeded spectacularly, provided you ignore the dozen or so coins I bought after that. So yeah, when I say no more coins, based on my past track record you know that it is something you can take to the bank (just not any reputable bank).
I really enjoy these coin-pile pics, and that looks like an excellent pile. All killer no filler, as they say.
