I love these sweet Alexandrian A-Pius AE winners, so I usually jump when I see new cool types that fall within my meager coin-budget ...

I like your new A-Pi diobol, of course .

I have oodles of new A-Pis to share but most haven't had their beauty shots yet. And boy... do they need some help in that department. They are condition-challenged .

Here's one that's ready-- a very comfy (euphemism for very worn ) drachm. It's another ex-Dattari coin.

This budget coin depicts an interesting caduceus. There should be a gorgoneion in the center of the caduceus but it is worn away. There is also an unusual crescent attached.


Mysia, Kyzikos. AE20 5.33g 1st-2nd century AD.
Obv: Head of Kore right, grain ear in hair; within a wreath of grain.
Reverse: K-Y/ZI, caduceus, in the center of which is a gorgoneion, the handle is made of a club, crescent above, tunny below, monogram right; all within a laurel wreath.
