    I love the Wheat Script and as it says, it's backed by real wheat-that you should eat. But alas, that offer expired om March 31, 1934. A nice depression era paper note.

    The second one is an unused, undated railroad not for 18 something.

    Hope you like them.

    Very nice examples @Collecting Nut

    The term for an unissued Obsolete note is "remainder". I was lucky enough to win a complete Obsolete remainder sheet for the Tallahassee RailRoad Company from a large auction house. I'll post a scan if I can find it.

    There were notes issued in Greece durung WWII that were denominated in okas of wheat.

    Steve, that is a beautiful uncut sheet.

    And as to the wheat scrip: Pilot Rock is just 15 minutes south of Pendleton, where I now live. And I can tell you, wheat is still the top commodity in these parts.
