Here are some pics. I only paid $180 for them, so I am a bit nervous about grade. I know the pics arent great but it is the best my scanner can do. I only have the obverses right now due to time, but I upload the rest ASAP. Thanks in advance. Ryan
The last one. Edit: If anyone knows of a way to edit these pics so they come out better or a way to make my scanner work better let me know. I am horrible with pic editting. Thanks. Ryan
I agree with BQ!! Nice coins but you need to have better focus on the coins. Look for the macro setting on your camera..usually a "flower"... Please re-post as I think the IHC are nice!! RickieB
Here is the first of my scans. I will add the others As I go. It is not a digital camera, but a scanner. some come out well, others suck. I took this one out of the plasticthat may have helped. Ryan
Hi, Ryan. I'm not sure I understand you correctly. Are you saying that you don't know if $180 was too much? If so, you should never buy anything on a chance. It's easy to buy accurately described coins from reputable dealers. It's just as easy to purchase reference materials that will enable you to confirm that what was described by those dealers is, in fact, what you bought.
LOL, no I think $180 was an amzing price, but I wanted a second opinion. If these are all AU, seems to be to me, but I am no expert, then I got a great deal. If not, well it happens. They look like nice coins. My biggest concern is that they are fake or cleaned. I still have the ability to send them back if need be. Anyways, here are some more scans. Thanks for the opinions thus far. Ryan Edit: Anyone got any suggestions for reducing rev fuzziness? Seems to be a perpetual problem for me. Ryan
Buy The Official Red Book, "A guide book of Flying Eagle and India Head Cents" by Richard Snow, its published by Whitman and an excellent reference book.
Yeah, I had a feeling they looked cleaned myself. I am hesitant to return them though, as they look so nice and the price was quite good. I shall have to ponder the topic. Ryan
Well first - the very first scan is too fuzzy, but it looks xf and the rest look like they could be AU. It is way to hard to tell if they are cleaned. Scans seem to do something to the color of the coins - especially the CU NI coins. At $180 that still is not a bad deal for all of the coins. You can always use heritage pictures to compare with your coins.
