I've rolled two rolls of zinc pennies. That gave me 14 copper towards an all copper roll. With 6 to go it could happen.

The penny rolls didn’t yield much.
A zinc roll weighs about 4 ounces.
    Copper goes about 5.
My scale is an old postal spring scale so
    not super accurate.

I'm going to go hit the drive through at the bank and get 6 nickel and 9 penny.

Try for CWR's, just might hit a collection TURNED-IN. Good luck on your future finds.

    2 boxes halves skunk.
Got a box of cents too, since it's been a while.
18 wheats. 1930S was the winner.

Right now I think Nickels offer the best chance of what I need. I'm at a point in pennies that from 1975 to 2017 except for some 82 are good enough for me.
And I'm finding very few wheats which are most of what I need. Anyhow I have 3 nickel rolls and 6 penny rolls.
Don't want to fly through them so I'm not going to start until much later (when I can see well).

I mainly CRH small denominations, and I prefer nickels to pennies. A complete Jefferson set isn't out of the realm of possibility with a great deal of searching over time. Ive found over a dozen buffalo nickels, and 9 silver nickels in less than a year of on again off again CRHing compared to no IHCs.
I've also come across a V nickel and 3 proof nickels, no proofs searching cents though.
Cent, nickel, dime, quarter. Of those 4 nickels circulate the least, and I feel that you can stumble upon some solid finds. HH

    Absolute needs of nickels
    2009P 1982P 1979P 1978P 1969P 1968P 1968D 1967D
    1966D 1965D 1961P 1959P 1958P 1957P 1953P
better examples of dates from 53 and up and plenty of older dates. Going to the other bank in town tomorrow and going to get 8 CWR nickels and 2 CWR pennies.

No US coins dated 1965, 1966 or 1967 have mint marks.

Agreed. After a little over a month I've been able to fill the Jefferson whitmans minus 3 holes in the newest and about half of the first book. I don't do large quantities, combined over two or three weeks time MAYBE a box, and I've been very picky with the two latest books as far as dings and scratches. Even as a silver bug the Nickel should be the most searched...the ROI ($) is much better than any other denomination. At current melt the war Nickel yields .93 of silver. The half, at best, yields 5.96. 93/5=18.6 when 596/50=11.9, but that's not taking in to account availability and labor, but if you're CRH you have the time to spend. HH!

Ok that removes 3 of my needs.
I have to get flips. I have almost 3 full tubes of nickels.

David: it takes time to get a folder collection. Don't get worried if you don't complete it in a month, you got a lifetime for this hobby. I've been collecting since the mid-60's and still have holes in some penny folders. Take your time & have fun doing it.

10 loomis rolls of jeffs. 4 pre64, two rolls were fresh 17p, but I was hoping for silver or hole fillers. Two straps yielded one beat up star...I think I'll bring some chocolate to my favorite teller in hopes for some good rolls and straps tomorrow.

    $25 CWR Cents: 1920, 1938, 1941, 1942-D, 1943 (steel), 1944 (x6), 1944-D, 1945 (x2), 1945-D, 1946 (x3), 1947, 1948, 1950, 1951, 1952-D, 1952-S, 1955, 1955-D, 1956 (x2), 1956-D (x3), 1957-D, 1958-D (x2), 1958-D, 552 copper cents. The 43 is crusty, but it's my first steel cent from circulation. The real pick of the box was a 1908 German Pfennig, though.

    $22 CWR / $50 BWR Nickels: 1939, 1940 (x4), 1940-S, 1941 (x3), 1941-D (x2), 1947-D, 1952, 1954-D, 1955-D, 1956, Undated Buffalo (x2), and two war nickels - a 43-P and a 45-P.

$100 CWR Cents: One Roosie dated 1963.

Whoops. I thought I had a 1959P. It was actually a 1939P which was an upgrade to what I had in a flip.
