These beauties will be for sale in Chicago soon. I would love to own one of these. Esp. The Julius Caesar. They supposedly came from Toledo Museum of Art. The following came from an email I just got. "This sale has 481 ancient coins which includes additional coins from the Bill Behnen Collection of Trajan Decius and Family not offered in Gemini, 48 world coins & 123 antiquities which includes the leftovers from the Toledo Sale. The Toledo Sale was a recent project between HJB and Toledo Museum of Art. Below is a link to an article from the Toledo newspapers describing the project. The Toledo pieces, which make up this part of the buy or bid sale, will be offered on-line only. There are still many amazing pieces left of this historical offering. FYI, only the antiquities are from the Toledo museum. The coins are from various other sources; none of the coins are from Toledo.
There are some nice Cypriot antiquities in that sale from the infamous Cesnola collection, I believe.
