When you go into the bank vault the largest box you can get. About 80% full. Some at home. Some being sold on EBAY now over the next two years as anyone who likes contemporary circulating counterfeits already knows. Some collectors never sell or never work their collections - they just buy - I always considered these individuals ... IXXXXXR. LOL.

Thousands and thousands....mostly errors and varieties, tons of duplicates of the varieties. And a few hundred of very special coins, rare and gorgeous to my eye....

There is a whole thread in this Coin Chat section dedicated to Carr's work. He's known for extremely well done tokens and for overstruck "fantasy" coins. Whether or not you agree with the legitimacy of the latter, Daniel is one of the best working right now. He even designed two of the State Quarters.

I like -jeffB (above) answer, and will repeat it for myself

    "More than 1000? Yes.
    More than 10,000? Probably.

    More than 100,000? No."

As many as I need. Until I need the next coin, set or bullion piece. And I too have a Daniel Carr piece. Really enjoy his art.

I estimate around 15,000, but lately I've been trying to narrow it down so it's possible I have as many now as I'll ever have. Not that I'll never buy anymore, but I'll get rid of more than I acquire.
