The pictures are lousy. It's much more red. A USB microscope is my next purchase. For now I'm using a smartphone with a flashlight lens rubber banded to the back. Anyway, off the cuff does it have potential? Thanks, Tom.
Just know that USB cameras are not much better. Well in my opinion. Its hard to get an entire coin into the picture and if you get one with low megapixels the picture will be blurry. Try taking a picture of your Cent with brighter lighting and no light source such as yours directly onto the coin.
Its a nice common coin, but it would not be worth your time at all. If you are a beginner, hang on to it. There are many threads on USB microscopes that you can read and get advice pro and con. Also I found a 2 lens accessory to clip on my Droid ( will fit almost any) That works for macro and telephoto at the 99 cent store, although it was prices at 1.99. I think the shots are as good as the USB scopes in general. Comes in handy at coin clubs and coin shows. Jim
